The Giving Paw helped pay for his neuter to cover potential costs to the rescues. Brooklyn is in a foster home doing great now.
Gigi was rescued from a breed restrictive shelter as our foster. Gigi is a 2 yr. old female blue pit mix. Gigi had a rough life but is sweet as can be. It is with great sorrow that we had to let Penny pass on to rainbow bridge today. Although her bloodwork and X-rays were good the growth was around her heart and blocking her valves. The doctor recommended letting her pass peacefully rather than having her recover because the mass that had spread throughout her body could burst at any moment and it would be a painful death for her. She will be missed & was loved dearly.
Introducing Tobias a cat rescued from the hoarding case last week. He is our 1st medical sponsor since starting The Giving Paw Inc. He is available for adoption from Life Is Better Rescue.

Harold was the perfect house guest for over 5 months but the perfect family adopted him. He is spooled and loves his new family. We still get to visit him for his occasion nail trim. Adopted Nov. 2012

Adopted 2009- My name is Remington. I was brought to a high kill shelter with a 4 in gash under my right arm. When my owners never picked me up, I was doomed. However, a volunteer was at the animal shelter helping another dog, when I was brought to her attention. The volunteer immediately called her animal hospital and the WONDERFUL vet, said bring me in & the vet fixed my wound. I have been adopted to a wonderful home and I spend my days being spoiled by my mom with my dog and cat siblings.

Hello this is Storm a 10 yr old lab. She was rescued from Kansas and brought to the Maxfund. The nursing home had contacted me for potential rescues, we didn't have eligible dogs at DMAS, so I went to Maxfund. She has been a wonderful addition to the home. Just look at the picture--she loves her people. I can't imagine that she was deemed for euth and now makes people happy everyday! Storm was adopted by the nursing home Dec.2008.
We adopted Fluffy after her parents went into a nursing home. Afterall, isn't that what family does? Senior dogs/cats have a difficult time adjusting to shelter life and are less likely to be adopted. Please keep that is mind with senior pets.
Rescue kittens. We always foster a litter of kittens during cat season. Please spay and neuter your pets!
